Hi Guys
The nominal role has been updated, now standing at 394.
I have a lot of names with no info IE Rank , Troop , Dates Served , or contacted.
Please take a look through to see if you can help me fill in the blank spaces.
Cheers Bob

Brummie and Carol
Great news, never doubted it. Like I never doubted anything you ever said in Oz. Sorry I will be in Cyprus during 2010 reunion but will lift a glass thinking of you.
Good luck to all Shiny 7 for 2010.

Bob
There were 2 Smudge Smith's in 1 troop in '65. There was Graham, who I'm sure was 706, but I cant remember the other one's first name. There are 2 or 3 pictures of him on George Cowie's site, Pictures 1. We did a very snow bound border patrol in '65 - still cant remember his first name. Paddy Hooks or Khaki Brown would know.
Season's Greetings to all you guys out there, and Best Wishes for 2010. Hank

Great news Brummie. A great Xmas present to us all. I wish you and your family a very happy Xmas and new year. Regards Geordie Cowie

Just opened the cuff links and they are printed wrong. Colours wrong way round. Sending back to Dave so it might be a couple more weeks now

Brummie never took you off my list anyway glad to hear things are going good.

That's great news. It just shows what can be achieved when you choose to challenge the tossers doesn't it? All the best Brum, and Carol because we tend to forget how much the partner suffers along with them. See you both in Durham. We might have a drink or few.
To all the others who happen to read this, including the ones who shouldn't, have a lovely Christmas and a Happy and healthy New Year from Chris & Helen.
ps the Cuff links are here but I doubt I will have time to sort them out before next Friday.

Great News Brummie
Hope to see you and Carol in April
Take Care Mate

Good for you Brummie,I wish you all the best for the future.
Sammy Singleton.

I wish to thank all of you who have called to wish me well with this dreaded cancer! I am pleased to say I am doing quite well at present, although I'm not out of the woods by a long shot. But I am glad to be the right side of the turf !!!
I am asking Geordie to put my name & Carol's name for Durham so I hope I will be able to make it since we both enjoyed our time in Ripon.
Glad to hear Geordies wife Marie is making a good recovery & I wish all of you & your families a wonderful & peaceful Christmas.
. My very best wishes
Brummie

Dave Ravey says...Hi guys.
With refernece to Eddy (Paddy) Erskine. At the end of my service I was very fortunate to be a PSI at Bradford, 272 Sqn TA. Eddy Erskine was in that Sqn, as SSM, and later as Admin Officer. He finished as a Capt.!! At that time he was still living in Ripon. I understand that some 7 Sqn guys are still living in that area. A quick check of the phone book may bring a speedy resolve to his absence.!!!!
Regards from Florida, its pissing down!!!!
Dave the Rave
Can anyone from Ripon area have a look for a number.??? Its difficult from here !!

Hi Guy's
Well one more day and hopefully I will be getting some sunshine. I pick up the ship in Barbados. I will be back on Christmas Eve and going to my son's for Christmas dinner. Looking forward to the re-union next year and seeing you all.

Dave I will try but grey matter means I may only remember first name. The guy who helped me drag Spr Brash in was a fatish full screw not sure who he was but wasn't a 2 troop regular
Graham wash your mouth out remember you were in 2 troop we were the fitest leanest and meanest . This fatish Cpl full screw must have been sent to 2 troop to get fit.

Ho HO Ho Xmas is coming dont forget your deposits will be due in Jan anybody else who wants a room get off the bloody fence and let me know its still cold in a 160 LB Tent in April in Durham details of payment will be on site next week .I would like to thank all members for their messages of surport for my Marie who has had her opperation and is doing well she must be shes given me shit yes dear anything else dear

Graham Bream says...Dave
I was in 2 troop at the time but not in the section involved. I remember Pete Jennings being there when it happened.
Hi Graham nice to see you on the site again Glad to see you are pulling in a few names from the later years .which is important to continue the 7 sqn story. Pete Jennings was quite a character i remember him always with a smile on his face ..I have tried to find paddy Erskine as i though he would be easy to locate but as yet he is still AWOL . Can you give Bob a list of names you remember fron late Ripon Hohne .These are younger and probably easier to locate as more likely to have computors. Are you coming to the reunion?
Mother Superior calls all the nuns together and says to them, "I must tell you something. We have a case of gonorrhea in the convent."
"Thank goodness," says a blonde nun at the back. "I am so tired of Chardonnay."

GEORDIE TATE says...Hi Bob
More names Junkie Livingstone ,a lad called Carter had the 3.5 RL and Spr Brash 2 TP walked into a bullet in Blyths Lane on the sqns first tour NI
Geordie i crawled down the hill and pulled Brash (not of is first name) in to safety after he was hit. But a full screw helped me would that have been Paddy erskine

Dave
I was in 2 troop at the time but not in the section involved. I remember Pete Jennings being there when it happened.

David Biram says...Hi Bob I have searched high and low for details of Jim Lunds accident which lead to his death in NI .I" had" old sqn magazines which gave full details here but as usual canot locate them .I know GT will still have his as he was front page on most of them .
The accident happened on night operations in Northern Ireland 22 jan 1974 SSgt JW Lund RE approached the helicopter being used to enter and exit the troops and was caught in the tail roter, and died as a result of his injuries. RIP
I am sure GT who was a SNCO in the Sqn at the same time as Jim will remember more or possibly locate Sqn Magazine but at least in the meantime you can fill in a date and brief details on memory page .
